Educational requirements: (University) BSc in mechanical engineering, applied physics, chemical engineering, energy technology, electrical engineering or equivalent study.

Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based)); IELTS (minimum score: 6.0 (overall))

Objectives: Graduates are able to design and evaluate sustainable energy systems considering technical, societal and environmental aspects. They combine a system approach with in-depth knowledge in one of the main subjects within sustainable energy.

Subjects: Energy generation; electrical energy; design and system integration; sustainable energy technology: biomass, solar, hydrogen, wind; social aspects of energy supply: economy, consumer behaviour, innovations and transitions.

Modes of instruction: Lectures, case studies, practical assignments, group work, individual assignments, thesis work.
