Course Description
Sustainable energy supply represents one of the key challenges to engineering today. This programme provides you with an overview of modern energy technologies including renewable energy sources, fuel cells, nuclear engineering and energy economics.
The first two years of this degree are common with the MEng Mechanical Engineering, followed by specialisation in years three and four through a range of subject themes.
Core modules include: Advanced management, Advanced electrical systems, Ocean and wind energy, Fuel cells, Automotive propulsion, Management, Engineering design, Photovoltaic devices and systems, Introduction to energy systems, resources and usage, Heat transfer and Introduction to nuclear engineering. In the third and fourth years you will participate in projects, as described in the MEng Mechanical Engineering.
