The University is no longer recruiting at undergraduate level for the Ceramics BA Honours course. The final cohort of BA Ceramics students are due to graduate in July 2012.
The Ceramics course at the University of Westminster aims to provide students with all they require to be effective as independent or collaborative practitioners in the broad field of ceramics. Students work and study in our new purpose-built studios on the Harrow site where the dedicated facilities and studios include; throwing rooms, a glaze room, a kiln room and an extensive kiln site.
The course encourages students to fulfil their potential by participating in a range of activities which encourage the development of a wide range of creative, critical and technical skills. This culminates in the completion of a rich body of personal and self-directed work which is launched at the renowned degree show at the Harrow site in June.
Ceramics BA Honours at the University of Westminster has an enviable position in the history of art education. One of the outcomes that continue to link the highly successful potters and ceramicists who have been educated here over the last four decades, is the fact that many of their alumni continue to work in ceramic related careers on graduation, often establishing their own studios and workshops.
Their highly specialised and dedicated staff team is equipped to provide students with all they require to be effective as independent or collaborative practitioners,or to consider further studies and to apply their knowledge and judgement to associated activities. The core academic staff team are all renowned practitioners, exhibiting or writing at an international level.
