Educational requirements: BA degree in Philosophy, and a demonstrable aptitude for research and philosophy.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 570/230); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5)

Objectives: Impart extensive scholarly knowledge, insight, methods, & skills: in one of specialisations. Impart a scholarly attitude which is characterized by: student’s capacity to engage in academic thought & action; analyse complex problems; develop a philosophical argument in support of a theory; formulate a research question & formulate & execute a long-term research project in a (inter)national context.
Subjects: The central theme is the rivalry, in various parts of Western philosophy, between different views of rationality. Students focus on one of the following three research fields or specialisations: rationality and the scientific mind; rationality, logic and semantics; and practical rationality.
Modes of instruction: Seminars, research seminars, tutorials, supervised literature study, master's thesis.
