Objectives: To give a broad & deep knowledge of & insight into philosophy, a number of its branches & their historical development. To give advanced academic skills in the interpretation of texts, the analysis & solution of conceptual problems, & communication of ideas & standpoints to specialist & general audiences. To give the capacity to carry out limited research projects in philosophy under supervision.

Subjects: Ancient and medieval philosophy; history and philosophy of logic; philosophy of science; philosophy of mind and cognition; ethics and political philosophy; philosophy of man and culture.

Modes of instruction: Seminars, supervised literature study, master's thesis.
