About the programme

As a physicist or astronomer you are driven by curiosity to understand the world around you, studying interactions that give rise to the fundamental behaviour of matter. If you are interested in astrophysics, but want the flexibility to sample other physics topics, this is the degree for you.

For the first two years you follow the Astrophysics programme, and gain a sound knowledge of a range of astrophysics topics. During the third and fourth years you continue to take some astrophysics courses, but you are also able to focus on other topics and can choose either a physics or an astrophysics topic for your final-year project.
