The physics curriculum, comprising a broad range of fundamental topics such as mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, relativity, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, condensed matter physics, field theory, etc., focuses on these general principles. From the very beginning, lectures covering both theory and experiments are accompanied by lab courses. More detailed knowledge relevant for a guided research project in the third year can be acquired in specialised courses in, e.g., computational physics, molecular physics, surfaces and interfaces, laser physics, phase transitions, particle physics and cosmology, biophysics, nanomolecular science, and mathematical physics.
