Graduate School of Politics (GraSP)
In principle, every research topic in the field of political science can be accepted at GraSP.
GraSP is subdivided into single research teams which group the individual dissertation topics into related themes.
Current topics can be found under: http://www.uni-muenster.de/GraSP/Forschung .
Application Deadline
Students from foreign countries as well as from Germany can apply for a Ph.D. at GraSP.
There are three steps in the application process:
- The written application contains, in addition to a short description of why you want to study for a Ph.D. at GraSP, a personal data sheet and an outline of your Ph.D. dissertation (approx. two pages).
- Students are asked to write a synopsis of ten pages that details the goal, content, relevance and method of their Ph.D. dissertation. Additionally students should include two letters of reference.
- An interview is not mandatory, but to improve one's chances of application, students should be in close contact with their potential supervisor at the Institute of Political Science (ifpol). A list of the current professors at the ifpol can be found here: http://egora.uni-muenster.de/pol/personen/personen.shtml .
There is no application deadline. Ph.D.'s at the GraSP are enrolled at the University of Münster. GraSP helps students with their enrolment.
Students should be aware that the entire application process may take several months.
