Clinical Epidemiology – which is empirical and patient oriented – is most suited for such a combination. It involves diagnostic, prognostic, preventive and therapeutic studies that follow directly from quantitative study designs. Training in study design and analysis provides a sound basis for successful clinical research.
Their Master of Science in Health Sciences, specialization Genetic Epidemiology, can be attended full-time or part-time. In the latter case, research may be conducted at your home institution(*) under the joint guidance of a local supervisor and the Nihes tutor.
The one-year programme (13 months) starts with the Erasmus Summer Programme at the beginning of August. The first semester runs from August until mid December; re-examinations are scheduled as from the second week of January. The second semester starts in February and runs until the end of August.
