The postgraduate programme 'Master of Science International Food Business and Consumer Studies' is a joint venture of two German universities - combining the expertise of both academic institutions:

  1. The Kassel University in Witzenhausen
    (Organic Agricultural Sciences), and
  2. The Fulda University of Applied Sciences
    (Nutritional, Food and Consumer Sciences)

Course Structure

The postgraduate programme is characterised by a multidisciplinary approach at the interface between agriculture, food business, and consumer science within an international context. The modules are:

  • Agricultural Science
  • Food Chain Management
  • Consumer Science
  • Developments in Food and Nutritional Sciences
  • Management of Research and Development Projects

  • Management
  • And a Profile Module

Admission Requirements

The programme aims at graduates, which hold a Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree in the field of

  • Agricultural Science,
  • Nutrition,
  • Food Science,
  • Food Technology, or
  • Consumer Science

Candidates with a background in Economics and related fields possess appropriate knowledge and skills at degree standard in fields related to Food and Agricultural Economics/Business.

An average grade at upper division level (B) on the final certificate is required.
