There are mandatory courses in which the progress of the individual project is treated and discussed by Ph.D. students. These courses support the transfer of knowledge at the theoretical and methodological level and foster interdisciplinary communication. Furthermore, elective courses are designed to deepen knowledge in any of the main topic areas of the programme from basic techniques to cutting-edge developments. Additionally, optional courses comprise research-oriented special events or workshops as well as special courses for the improvement of foreign language proficiency and practical competences. Foreign students may take courses of German alongside the scientific programme.
