The general pathway provides you with flexibility, problem-solving abilities and a broad knowledge base, while developing your skills in data gathering, processing and analysis. Internal safeguards ensure that you do not spread your options too thinly, allowing you to acquire the focused knowledge that employers value.
The programme provides a broad-based knowledge of how anthropologists, criminologists, psychologists and sociologists contribute to an understanding of contemporary social and cultural issues.
You can tailor up to 70 per cent of your course around a central set of applied social sciences units, creating a programme suited to your intended career.
In year three you can choose to write your dissertation in any of the applied social sciences disciplines you have studied.

• Issues in law enforcement and social control

Entry requirements

• A levels: BBB, plus GCSE mathematics grade C (an additional AS level may be taken into consideration)
• IB: 32 points, 15 at higher level
• Intake: 15

• Selection process: UCAS application (interview as required)
