The interdisciplinary nature of the curriculum addresses problems and finds innovative solutions for questions of governance in the public, business and civil society sectors. This is accomplished by coordinating a meaningful balance between theory and practice and complementing its coherence with a trisectoral approach which will enable students to cut across sectors in their future careers.
The curriculum consists of five modules combining high-intensive teaching and practical exercises:
Graduates of the Hertie School of Governance acquire analytical and practical skills to understand and act upon governance problems in the public, private, and civil society sectors. At the same time, they will have been trained in such fields as leadership, management, negotiation, mediation, and communication.
