The Master's programme "Transition Studies" is an interdisciplinary programme established by five faculties of Giessen University, headed by the Faculty of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences, Home Economics and Environmental Management. The programme is focussed on specific problems of transitional countries in an international, interdisciplinary course combining both theory and practical experience.

The Master's programme enables you:

• to understand the complex processes and specific demands of transitional countries
• to link the various areas of transition, as economic, legal, political, social, agricultural and environmental aspects and their interrelation
• to gain knowledge as well as practical competencies on methods and strategies to enhance the transition process
• to train your soft skills by learning and working in international and interdisciplinary teams
