The aim:

  • a sound training in computer science, which is the current standard of international media computer science with a focus on multimedia and distributed systems, is based;
  • application skills in the fields of computer science media to work in interdisciplinary research and development teams;
  • Ability to develop methods of media computer science;

120 ECTS; compulsory modules (36 ECTS), optional modules (42 ECTS), free subjects (6 ECTS), Diploma Students Seminar (6 ECTS), MA (30 ECTS);

Compulsory modules:

  • Basics (structure of scientific basics for media scientist, Advanced Software Engineering), Interdisciplinary computer science (Advanced Media Technologies, Selected chapters of the media computer science, computer science internship from the media);

Optional modules:

  • Application subject (optional modules from the Advanced E-Learning Technologies, film and animation on the basis of digital media and game design), Kern combination (networked multimedia systems or systems);

Free subjects:

  • Lectures to free choice;

Diploma Students Seminar:

  • 2 seminar is intended for the scientific preparation and drafting of a special topic for the dissertation and the scientific depth to reprocessing of selected issues in the context of the dissertation;

Master's thesis:

  • The issue is the core of a specialist or a combination of interdisciplinary computer science module to choose;
  • only after positive assessment is the declaration of Magisterprüfung possible;

Completion:

  • positive completion of all modules and the Master's examination positively assessed dissertation;

Professional fields:

  • classical software development and design of the linkage of different media to the audiovisual making in the fields of advertising and public relations;
  • The overlap with the computer science professionals of the media production (print, film, television, graphic design and many others) is considered to be the focus of media activity scientist inside.
