The Professional Master's programme in Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image provides students with the knowledge and skills to archive audiovisual material (film, video, digital media) in an institutional context and to present such work to an audience.
This Master's programme is unique in Europe for combining archiving and programming skills from an in-depth theoretical and practical perspective. Given the ever-expanding market in image-based culture, education and entertainment, courses such as this create excellent career opportunities for graduates in such areas as archives, museums, film houses and festivals. In the past, graduates have found jobs as curators, restorers and programmers in film and television archives, and museums and festivals around the world.
Educational requirements: Dutch BA, or equivalent, in the field of media and culture.
Professional experience required: Work experience in the field of preservation and presentation of the moving image will help your application, but is not required.
Language requirements: IELTS (minimum score: 6.5), CAE, minimum score: A; CPE, minimum score: B.
Other requirements: Students should have a keen interest in the preservation and presentation of film, television, radio, multimedia installations, and video art.
